*tonight I was talking with my friend Ahmed (herooooo) while we listening to Um Kalthoum song Lessa Faker -which means, still remember -
The name of the song made inside me a question then I asked him the question, to know his point of view.
What if someone in your dad or mine's age heard this song now?
I meant, what he will feel, what he will think about, is it a hard feeling?
When he goes backwards more then 20 years in the past of his own life, 20 years is long and full of events, bad events, good events, sad events, and happy events.
Imagine if he remembered events that happened to him in the last 20 years of his life.
20 years ago, he was with this friend, doing that thing, going to that place, to see those people, and play that game. 20 years ago, he sit with his family in that day, listening to this speech, or watching that movie, TV show, game. 20 years ago, he was Missing his brother, father, mother, sister, wife, friend. 20 years ago, he dreamed of that car, house, wife, job, company, money, fame, life .20 years ago, he loved, hated, made, broke, found, did, killed. 20 years ago, he lost his mother, father, brother, sister, wife, friend, life, dream.
20 years is long period of time, its enough for any one on earth to change his life and not only his life he can also change a lot of people life's, The prophet Mohamed has changed the world in a period like this and his friends after him.
But, I am not talking about who made outstanding achievements in his life, I am talking about who did not even changed his own life, who did not even found him self a better life, who did not even make his own small tiny dreams come true.
How he will feel? For us teens, it is so hard to imagine that feeling.
And If he thought about this before, imagining that the day will come, and he will be sad about days he lost in his life, it is far better of being in that day without even imagining it before.
